The broccoli top

I’ve officially reached the age where kids are unintentionally mocking my childhood by reviving every trend I lived through.

Take the haircut, this broccoli top situation. The voluminous, curly mop paired with a close fade? Yeah, had that in fourth grade. Thought I was the coolest kid alive. And now, here they are, strutting around like they’ve reinvented the wheel. Like they invented this look. It’s giving strong “founding fathers discovering America” energy.

And the fashion? Same story. Converse shoes -- now that's groundbreaking. The oversized graphic tees? Revolutionary. Green nail polish? How did no one else ever think of this before? The confidence in their originality is impressive, but buddy, I’ve seen it all before. Worn it all before. Lived it.

It’s funny, really, watching them claim these things as their own while I resist the urge to pull out photo evidence from 1988. But I’ll let them have their moment. It’s kind of the natural order of things. They should think they’re the first to ever discover effortlessly cool style.

Because one day, they'll wake up and see the next generation rocking their current look. And they’ll be exactly where I am right now, staring, shaking their heads, wondering when they became this person.

And honestly? That’s a journey they deserve.

I feel like I should be shopping for a Hurry Cane. 😅😂😭

Does this make any sense??
