Man, I want to believe in the Thunder. I really do. But after last night’s loss to the Pacers, it’s hard to feel confident.
OKC had the game in their hands: up by 15 points in the fourth quarter, looking like they were about to set the tone for the Finals. And then? Collapse. The Pacers chipped away, never letting the game get out of reach, and somehow pulled off a 111-110 win with a last-second jumper from Tyrese Haliburton.
It wasn’t just a loss -- it was a lazy loss. The Thunder had 25 turnovers handed to them on a silver platter and only managed 11 points off them. They let Indiana hang around, and when it mattered most, they couldn’t close. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 38 points, but even that wasn’t enough.
I still hope OKC pulls through. They’ve been dominant all season, and they know how to bounce back. But if they don’t tighten up, this series could slip away fast. Game 2 is going to be a test. Do they shake off the regret and come back swinging, or do they let the Pacers take control?
I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Who are you rooting for?
