Does anyone remember Captain Harlock and the Queen of a Thousand Years? I used to watch that cartoon every morning on Channel 11 when I was a kid, absolutely glued to the screen. Back then, it felt like the peak of sci-fi greatness -- epic space battles, mysterious villains, a brooding hero with an eye patch. What more could you want?
Now I can’t help but laugh. The animation is stiff, the dialogue is overly dramatic, and the pacing. Wow, it's something. But despite all that, there’s a charm to it.
